My washing has turned against me!

Posted: September 11, 2013 in books

Sadly it is time to say goodbye to yet another tumble dryer 😦 However this one did exceed the normal appliance life span in my household (usually a year or less) that might have something to do with the three year guarantee it had and conveniently chose to break two months after its expiry date. It is still use able, that is if I wish to go deaf! It is literally screaming as the drum turns and has everyone covering their ears and the dog pacing the floor. I have ordered a replacement which won’t be here for five days, now this in itself shouldn’t be a problem. I didn’t fill the dryer with every wash, having a separate washing line inside for the shrinkable stuff however my washing has turned on me. Clothes which would normally dry in a day seem to know that the rest of the washing has joined them on their line and are now in protest. It’s taking days for anything to dry and when it does it goes stiff no matter how much softener I’ve used, with nine peoples washing I think you can imagine the kind of backlog I have building up. I don’t dare change the beds otherwise we may not be able to get in the bathroom at all with the washing from the linen bin already climbing up the wall. It’s always the way, one thing breaks and another is set to throw a spanner in the works 🙂

For those of you who have read Twisted Bloodlines here’s a little hint on what the second book in the series involves 🙂

Looking forward to this!

I just brought this book and am definitely looking forward to reading it 🙂 I only hope that it is not a disappointment as the last few books I have read in my other favorite series. I’m beginning to wonder if maybe some of these authors have dragged their series out too long and it is why their books have become so uninteresting to me. I love the dark hunter series and so far I haven’t been let down so lets hope this one lives up to the rest of the series 🙂

I guess some authors can pull off numerous books in a series but there is only so much you can write about without becoming boring, I’ve limited mine to six books in the series although I seem to be digging myself a hole adding more twists to the plot which may require a mini series to accompany Twisted Bloodlines.

What do you think? Do you find that when a series has numerous books, it becomes tiresome?

What is your favorite season?

Posted: September 6, 2013 in books

Now that summer is coming to an end we are slowly approaching my favorite season. I love winter, the nights get darker earlier and there’s nothing better than snuggling under a blanket on the sofa to watch television or read a book. I know most people love the summer but I despise being too hot, I can’t sleep or concentrate and get very irritable. At least in the winter you can layer up on clothing or turn on the heating if you’re too cold. There are only so many layers of clothing you can remove in the summer if you’re too hot without causing indecent exposure 🙂

I suppose autumn isn’t too bad, still fairly cool and of course there’s halloween although I have to deal with a garden full of leaves which fall from a nearby tree with the change of season. I also become more creative in the darker seasons, anyone who has read my book will know it’s not exactly full of summer romance 🙂

What’s your favorite season and why?
